N900 Flash problem *Help
 

Hi there,

I flashed my N900 however there are a few problems,

I cant seem to flash the EMMC - it gets to this on the CMD

"Booting device into flash mode"

and on my N900 it freezes after abit on the second dot

Secondly - the boot time has got ridiculous - About 1min 10secs to come to the desktop, why?

Thirdly - Sim card will not register any more.

I am using the latest global firmware.

Any help will be appreciated.

Sounds to me like you are flashing back to a previous fw because the symptoms you give are obvious.
If you flashed the leaked fw i suggest you get back to that and stay with it because the official update should be the end of this month and untill then it will do your device no problem at all to stay with the leaked fw as many many have done so same as myself.

Are you sure you've flashed it in the right order?

eMMC
PR1.1.1

Because the SIM card not registering is most likely because, PR1.1 introduced a new firmware for the GSM Modem, which isn't compatible with PR1.0

last month, everyone who has this problem "Thirdly - Sim card will not register any more." was playing with the pr1.2 RC

its your case? i wish not. it has no solution AFAIK

Sorry yes

I had to get a new N900 - got it from ebay and it came with that leaked firmware, tried to put it back as I am willing to wait for the release.

So i decided to flash it and revert it back to latest.

So I need to find the leaked version and install it :(?

We are not allowed to give out links to that fw you need but i can indeed give you the full filename and with that do a search ok... good luck it should be fairly simple to do.
