Apt cache steals space on rootfs
I was going to text my wife, but my n900 says that it can't send or receive anything, since "storage memory" is full!
That alert will now pop up once every minute to annoy me some more. Actually it seems that its rootfs that is full. Code:
Nokia-N900-42-11:~# df EDIT: Updating via the terminal will fill up the apt cache... Continued in next post. |
Can we move the apt cache
OK. Apparently I have 43.7M of apt-cache
Code:
Nokia-N900-42-11:/var/cache/apt# du -sh * Code:
Nokia-N900-42-11:/var/cache/apt/archives# ls -lh Code:
apt-get clean Which begs the question: Could we move the apt-cache to another partition? (Note to self! Fennec nightly is now 2.0! Perhaps that is what broke Weave.) |
Re: Memory claimed to be full but I've got Gigs to spare
Rootfs could be a culprit, too! I hate rootfs! :(

Re: Memory claimed to be full but I've got Gigs to spare
There are a couple of scripts in the wiki to do this; and it is also already implemented in PR1.2 (whenever that turns up)
