Overclocked n900 cant use transition control?
 

Hi all,

basically i overclocked my n900 today, and before that i used transitioncontrol, i understand that it has to be opened via xterminal.

however after overclocking, i go into xterminal,

first thing i noticed is that, some letters are covering each other, i dont know how else to explain , but its like as if the screen is running out of space, hence words were squeezed and some are covering others.

and the second thing is that, when i type in 'root => transitioncontrol ' , i get this :

Traceback (most recent call last) :
File "/usr.bin.transitioncontrol" , line 13 , in <module>
import osso

Importerror : no module named osso



what happened here? is it the new kernel that kinda messed up the settings or something?

Yes it can. You're missing a module, make sure you have the kernel headers and libraries installed for your updated kernel.

Are you using the community kernel by titan?

hi, im not sure to be completely honest, but i checked my kernel version, it is 2.6.28.10power34

btw i followed these steps if its any use:


apt-get install kernel-power-settings

reboot

rm /etc/default/kernel-power
rm /etc/default/kernel-boot
ln -sf /usr/share/kernel-power-settings/ideal /etc/default/kernel-power
ln -sf /usr/share/kernel-power-settings/boot /etc/default/kernel-boot

kernel-config load /usr/share/kernel-power-settings/boot

hi, problem is sorted, i was suddenly able to get access to transition control, very weird indeed.

ok i just flashed my device, and the problem has occured again....

once again i type in
i get

why is this happening again!?
