OpenVPN error: Cannot open TUN/TAP dev TAP
I'm trying to connect my N900 to my home server via OpenVPN. I've installed the OpenVPN package and my config. It connects to the server successfully but then exits with an error. The last bit of the log looks like:
Fri May 21 14:49:34 2010 [maxwell] Peer Connection Initiated with [AF_INET]xx.xx.xx.xx:1194 Fri May 21 14:49:36 2010 Note: Cannot open TUN/TAP dev TAP: No such file or directory (errno=2) Fri May 21 14:49:36 2010 Note: Attempting fallback to kernel 2.2 TUN/TAP interface Fri May 21 14:49:36 2010 Cannot open TUN/TAP dev TAP: No such file or directory (errno=2) Fri May 21 14:49:36 2010 Exiting My config works correctly from my Linux notebook and from my Windows machine at work, so I'm fairly certain that everything is ok there. The output of 'uname -a' is: Linux Nokia-N900-02-8 2.6.28-omap1 #1 PREEMPT Thu Dec 17 09:40:52 EET 2009 armv7l unknown The 'About product' output shows: Version: 3.2010.02-8.207.1 Does anybody have any clues please? Thanks, Graham |
Re: OpenVPN error: Cannot open TUN/TAP dev TAP
My solution was to reinstall openvpn, it fixed the same problem for me after installation of PR1.3 and newest kernel-power.
