Unable to update or install anything(maemo5)nokia n900
 

Hello everyone.

So this is my problem, i am unable to update anything or install anything at all with my nokia n900.

I have the option to update Maemo 5
but when i click details it's status is Broken but able to update, i can download it but not install it, and that goes for everything in the application manager. it downloads fine and fast, but when it's time to install it will go for max 50% and then say unable to install.

What would i be required to do to make this work?

Also if you need any information please let me know and i will give it as fast as i can.

try this in X Terminal as root!
dpkg --clear-avail && apt-get update

Thanks for the reply, and it does looke like something that could help me, i do have the xterminal, but i am unsure how to use it :)

looked and found out about the Rootsh program, however i cant install it on my nokia n900 is there another way to go about it?
