whats the new firmware version?
 

I'll be getting a n900 next week brand brand new and do they all come with the same exact firmware version from the original launch ones or does nokia update them when building them fromscratch? BTW what is the latest firmware and if mine is old where do you download to install?

Read the wiki. The current version is 1.1.1

and it'll update automatically (I'd do that in a wi-fi area if I were you)

And whatever you see on these forums, DO NOT. DO NOT install the leaked PR 1.2 firmware, as it is not the final version and contains instability issues.

(The N900 won't automatically update to this, so you don't need to worry about that.)

I disagree. If someone looks at the device they are not going to see a version number of 1.1 anywhere. From the device perspective the <i> version </i> is going to be identified as 3.2010.02-8.002 (and I belive those last three digits are different depending on one's geographic location)
