Completely renew N900
Hey I've got an N900 that I've tinkered with over the months and I feel like I've done enough reckless things to "dirty" up the kernel.. or firmware.. or something. I'm not computer illiterate but I'm no programmer.
Anyway, is there a way to completely renew my N900 as far as software is concerned? I've already formatted my SD card and backed up my contacts and I want to make the N900 as if I have just opened the box with none of my old files or anything. Basically I want to reinstall the OS as you would do on a windows machine. How do I go about doing this? |

Re: Completely renew N900
be sure to check out the wiki. Your OS has a lot to do with it. I have W7 x64, which isn't readily compatible, so I had to use a W7 x86 (32-bit) computer to flash.
install maemo flasher dl the .bins to the folder with flasher-3.5.exe open up cmd prompt, cd to the flasher-3.5.exe directory. turn N900 off completely. hold down "u" and connect it to the computer. once you see the usb icon at the top right, let go of "u." execute Code:
flasher-3.5.exe -F RX-51_2009SE_2.2009.51-1_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin -f Code:
flasher-3.5.exe -F RX-51_2009SE_1.2009.41-1.VANILLA_PR_EMMC_MR0_ARM.bin -f -R |
