[PR 1.2] Stuck in reboot loop after dist-upgrade
 

Hello everybody,

as I was not able to update through HAM, I deinstalled some programs (BrainParty etc) and followed this description for apt-get dist-upgrade:

"I worked this out as I used apt-get dist-upgrade which showed dpkg doesn't like cross filesystem links. Once I moved this back I had 60odd meg (I think this was du summing incorrectly as I didn't lose 16M of space) and ran dist-upgrade again. I saw my rootfs drop to 13MB at its lowest. I would suggest that 47MB is about the minimum, depending on what apps need to be replaced in place."

Tried dist-upgrade too, out of the same reason (moved apt-cache).. Update went through, however now I am stuck inside a reboot loop. I get to the (gray, gnome-style looking) PIN input field, after entering the PIN it reboots, then I get to what looks like the empty desktop with an empty, pink status area, then reboot..

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Flash a full FIASCO image to do it properly. Had the same issue. You should know a dist-upgrade may break things.

Thanks a lot. I will do this when getting home.. Starting from now, I will know that a dist-upgrade may break things ;).

how to flash fiasco image?
