N900 Does Not Vibrate After PR1.2 Update
 

Has anyone experience this problem? After the PR1.2 update this morning, my N900 now only makes a very low high pitch sound but the device does not vibrate.

Yes, I have it on vibrate. I updated the firm through Nokia software Updater via PC.

MohammadAG had this before too i think - pretty sure it's not related to the update.

If i remember correctly he left it on permanent vibrate for a while until it kicked itself back into action - seemed jammed.

Try the healthcheck vibrate test tool - uses max vibrate and should give it a kick.

What is wrong with my command in the Xterm for getting the phone to vibrate.
I've done the healthcheck and it's for sure not vibrating.

After about a day of using the command to get the N900 to vibrate, it still did not work.
I ended up contacting Amazon and they sent me a new one.
