updated to pr 1.2 and cannot install pyqt4 it says packages are missing

Disable extras-devel and testing before installing

Which package exactly are you trying to install and what packages are reported missing (are they the same when you have extras-devel enabled) ? You probably already have an application installed with the old (=PR1.1) version of PyQt which is interfering.
