Nokia BH-905 Bluetooth Stereo Headset review

Hey guys, I've just finished the review for this awesome bluetooth headset for the N900. Hope you like it. :D
(I write articles like these as a hobby. It's not my job nor do I get paid for it.)

Feel free to discuss about the headset here and leave me some feedbacks if you have any. :p

All I can say is that, if you can afford it, it's probably one of the best stereo headcans for the N900 or any other mobile phone.

Very detailed review. However the headset is a bit pricey. What other headsets do you recommend with noise cancellation feature? Wired or wireless something around 100$

I prefer in-ear headphones myself, then you dont need noise cancellation at all, as they seal in your ears and block out external noise. Also they dont leak noise so you dont annoy anyone else around you.

I use Shure ones like this:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Shure-Se210-...5137608&sr=1-3

I actually use the E3c model, but that has been superseded by the above new model.

They are pricey but there are cheaper models, and also some from competing manufacturers. See http://www.head-fi.org/products/category/in-ear

That is a great community site for headphone geeks :)

Cheers,
Menno

I probably would recommend Nokia BH-505. Smaller, cheaper and still great sounding.

It is passive noise cancelling via isolation and it actually will block more of the sound than the BH-905 in most cases.
One thing to note is that it is limited to bluetooth connectivity only. So no cables to connect to non bluetooth devices.

I'm a IEM guy myself and have used nearly every single Shure's (up to 530) and Ultimate Ears (except Triple Fi) as well as some others such as Sound Magic PL-50 (fantastic cheap earphones), Fischer Audio Eternas and some others. But there are times when bluetooth wireless is definitely more handy. No wires and in-built mic.

I can tell you that BH-905 that I reviewed sounded better than Ultimate Ears Super Fi 5 Pro overall. (although, it's not really fair to directly compare IEM to open headphones)

I own a pair of BH-905, too. One heck of a bluetooth headset.

Have you tried to connect the headset to your N900 with the cable? When using cable I cannot switch the songs or anything... Other devices work with it, though.

Great review and it definitely answered some of my bluetooth headset questions, thanks.

I use the Shure 530 ear buds so I really like the isolation I get from them (plus the sound is hard to beat) but a wireless headset would be cool too.

Btw, whereabouts in Sydney are you from?

This seems like a very good option for me. But the only point is where to order it from?

I read about these in ear bluetooth ones:

They look a bit odd though!

Interestingly, I haven't actually tried the buttons while wired! :p
I'll try it out a bit later when I get home. (at work)

Glad I answered some things. Shure 530 are obviously excellent and would be better in every way than BH-905 except for it not being wireless. =P

I work at nsyd and live out inner west. :)

Yeah those etys are def a bit weird. I love my Shures but the wires keep getting caught in things so the Nokia BH 214s might be it.

Thanks Mr J, I admit I was curious about any local N900 users as I haven't come across any so far.
