OpenSSH pubkey authentication problem
Hi all,
after PR1.2 update i have a problem with my openssh server on N900, i can't login with pubkey authentication. Obviously i 'cat' my client's id_rsa.pub to the /root/.ssh/authorized_keys, but when i login on the n900, it ask the password for user root. The sshd_config is the same of my other 3 pc running linux and the method is the same. Anybody has the same problem? Thanks |
Re: OpenSSH pubkey authentication problem
Worst : after PR1.2 update, ssh server DOES not work anymore !
- reinstalling ssh (server and client) from the OFFICIAL Nokia repository (no extradev or extratest), - rebooting. - cehcking sshd is running with ps command Result : the N900 ejects the clients after only few seconds : I have only the time to do some ls, cd,... and .... "Connection reset by peer" 1 - What damn has done Nokia ? 2 - Would nt it be one of the first QA process to check if at LEAST SSH still works for us to be able to connect securely to our N900 ? 3 - I remember that ssh was always working perfectly on my iPhone even after updates. |

I can confirm everything is working fine.
Are you getting any error/warning/anything in the logs? |

Re: OpenSSH pubkey authentication problem
I can confirm SSH is working as a charm on my N900.
skaiware, are you sure that's not a networking issue? ping your n900 while on ssh and see if there is any network issue |
Re: OpenSSH pubkey authentication problem
btw, you could also try DropBear ssh server.
