We're going to need more details. Maybe give us a step-by-step of what you did.

Re: Fm transmitter Question

hmmmmm. What are you using to activate the N900's FM Transmitter? Are you turning it on from inside the media player? From the desktop widget?

You can turn the FM transmitter with either Setting, Widget, Media player or Xterminal commandline.

Turn the FM-Transmitter on and set the frequency to what ever you like.
In this example is "99.6MHz"

turn on your Radio, and tune the freqency to FM 99.6Mhz,
that is it!! this is as easy as a child play.

Play the music from media player and enjoy your own radio station!!

Note: Sometimes the FM-transmitter may get a bit windy in sound quality and sometimes you can detect it at all. That is depending on your car stereo. Some car has fully sealed the radio signal from an outside. So the FM radio signal will not work inside the car.

Good luck.

from media player press play, > click the menu bar > click FM transmitter> click the check box > click save - shroud work.

I have to use an installed app. FM Boost as the transmitter is week.
you have to run FM boost every time after you enable the transmitter.

I hear you. What timwatt said.^

First things first.

1. Start media player and pump out some sound. Shuffle all songs will do.

2. Once you're rockin' tap the top bar that says now playing and a drop down button menu will appear. tap FM transmitter.

3. From the bottom a new "FM transmitter" selection thingy will appear. Tap the box next to "FM transmitter on" and a check mark should appear. Forget about frequency for now...Tap "save" and the box will close and you should no longer hear any sound from the N900's speakers.

If you still hear sound then something is wrong.

Go through the steps outlined above again to see if that box you checked in step 3 is still checked. If it is and sound is still coming from the N900's speakers then that is one problem.

If it isn't, tap it again to acivate the check mark and go through the steps. If you are sure you are seeing the check mark and you are sure you are hitting "save" but it is not there when you return, then that is another problem.

Report back your results please.
