Cooked roms on the N900

Hi gang,

any news on this?
I was really busy with cooked roms in time of my i8910HD!

Are there some smart boys or girls working on this?

Could you explain a bit more what you mean with cooked roms.. if it is what i think it is then It is not needed with the n900.

Extract certain stuff from diff. cells and build a FW for the N900....
Or a overclocked version inside a cooked rom.

So basically all the best together in the N900...

Or a build with all the best apps and games, so the flashing would become quicker

I am not aware of a cooked fw image. I don't think there will be anyone wither as it is no actual need for it. A lot of unneccessary work.

It exists scripts that would do that for you. When i have reflashed my n900 i use "apt-get" to reinstall my programs automagically. If you want to aktivate or deaktivate kernelmodules you could make a startup script.

There is a custom kernel application to tweak the mhz, volt and stuff. This you can edit while still running.. so no need to flash the device.

If you like other OS's then they could be runned out of a sd-card. This is not entierly completed though. But i believe Ubuntu and Fedora exists like this. The phone functions will not work on those what i know of though.

you could pre apply titans kernel , transtions.ini and maybe cut out a few apps to save space and/or replace with other 3rd community apps that were not optimised but that could use hell of a lot of root space. (don't think data can be written to emmc at the same time. but maybe with a custom emmc image as well?) quite a bit of effort. to save X amount of time with each reflash, dont know if many will be that bothered but i did want a custom firmware until i thought about it.
