Combine Various Artists album
Hi. I have several "cover" albums (i.e. various artists are playing music from other artist).
Now Media Player shows each artist in dedicated folder. Is there way to view then in 1 folder per album? |

Yes, But not on the N900 that easily...
What PeterPopper said^. Use a program on your desktop computer to edit tags. Change the "Album" tag to whatever you like (and you can also use your own image) and they will all appear in that same "album" sub-folder. Change the "Album Artist" tag to whatever you like and these sub-folders will appear under one main folder. If you use a mass editor like TagScanner 5.1.563, you can change all of this in one fell swoop. http://files.myopera.com/yodude/blog/tags.jpg |

But my tags are ok. All files has Album, Year, whatever set.
All tracks are numbered. Only Artisis tag is differ. |
Re: Combine Various Artists album
What we are saying is change the Album tag for all to whatever it is you want that folder to be "various artists" or whatever you like...
I toss all songs from multi disk sets into one folder and rename the Album to for instance "White Album" but remove Disk 1 or Disk 2 from the album tag so that it doesn't show two images. But re reading your post it is unclear for me if you are talking album view, folder view, or artist view when you say folders. |
Re: Combine Various Artists album
i'm talking about artist view. I would like to see "Various artists" entry.
