viewing pictures over a home network
Is there a way to view pictures on a home network? you currently can only view videos and pictures in the default media player which are found on a network. And the inbuilt image viewer says it can only view images stored locally when i try to access them. i have tried some of the other media players claiming they can, but dont seem to access my images shared like the default player does

Re: viewing pictures over a home network
you can use wizard-mounter package (extras-testing)
it lets you mount a remote folder like a local one, so the default picture manager cant see the diference |

And i think you could use sshfs to do this. It is explained little in this thread. http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=36406

Re: viewing pictures over a home network
Thankyou heaps for your replies , wizard-mounter is mad... another reason to love the n900... i now technically have over 3.5 terabytes of storage on my n900 :)

Re: viewing pictures over a home network
absolutely.
only an advice: be careful about big folders with photos. i have 8gb in a sinlge folder and viewing those photos in n900 is painful :D |
