Accessing mac.com with N800
 

Hi,

I cannot access my mac email, has anyone resolved how to access mac email?

I really appreciate the advice I receive through this forum, thanks!

In the E-mail account setup:

1. Account Type: IMAP4
2. User name: dotMacUserID
3. Password: ******
4. Incoming server (IMAP4): mail.mac.com
5. Outgoing server (SMTP): smtp.mac.com
6. Click on the Advanced button

INCOMING TAB
-------------
Password Authentication: Normal
Security: SSL (IMAP4S)
Incoming e-mail port: 993

OUTGOING TAB
-------------
SMTP authentication: Login
User name: dotMacUserID
Password: *****
Security: SSL
Outgoing e-mail port: 587

Click the OK then Finish buttons and you're all set.

I've found that IMAP is not working in the default mail app. You may want to consider sylpheed which you can find by doing a seafch.

You can also try Claws Mail Port is the most complete Mail client I seen so far.
