dyno meter

hello is there an application the dose dyno testing on your car like bhp, 0-60 times, gforces, torque, quater mile times? there is an app like this on android. As the n900 is a "mobile computer" this kind of app would be ideal for it.

thanks

Ok thanks. But you have to buy an extra device to do this, and only works on some cars right? Android one you can do it without buy anything more and works on any car

yes but the android/iPhone apps work purely on the accelerometer and 'guess' outputs based on a pre determined set of parameters. so its more of a novelty than anything.

carman is more a diagnostic tool to check ECU operation, timing, fuel/air ratio, oxygen sensor, intake sensors etc etc

That ^. Carman actually reads information from the vehicle's sensor through the OBD-II interface. Much more accurate.
