GPS fix in the house
 

just turned on my n900 to drain off the battery.. so i opened up a few things, including sygic maps....

after a while, i heard TURN RIGHT...
all my curtains are drawn, i'm in the middle of my house, and its not even AGPS because my n900 is not detecting my home wifi for some reason, and I dont have a sim card in the phone, so no internet at all....

the magic of pr1.2??

Yup...not strange...have heard that couple of time when I was asked to make a u turn on a straight route

I too got GPS fix in my house after around 5mins with the latest update without internet. The good thing is that Map apps now keep looking for GPS even for long time unlike before.. and thats where the magic is I guess :)

I agree that GPS (and Nokia Maps) seems to work better in PR1.2

There is a nice small app called GPSJinni for checking GPS info (for example satellites status):
