N900 or 32gb card for the N810??
Now then, I thought this may get peoples opinions going....
I have an N810 and an N800, as well as a Nokia S60 5th phone (Nokia 5230) on contract until Feb '11 (upgrade sept/oct '10) My current network, Three in the UK, do not offer the N900, so I would have to buy a contract-free device, or jump phone company... I have about £200 cash available Choices are... 1. find an N900 on ebay (or here) 2. Hope Carphone warehouse get the clearance N900 back for £250 - and recycle my 5230. 3. buy out of my three contract and get a N900 on a 18/24 month contract. 4. buy a 32GB microSD for the N810, possibly a new batt for the N800. I love my N810 and apart from the basic fact that I currently lust for a N900, 32GB and the camera are the only compelling reasons for me upgrading, but I don't take many photos anyway, and they tend to be outdoor shots which are posted to online services, so the 2mp in the 5230 usually takes care of that. The good thing about keeping the current devices is that both the N810 and the 5230 have full sat-nav. The 5230 has sports tracker, which I like. I kinda want a 900 as it's the next step, but the sensible thing would seem to be hang on phone-wise to upgrade time to see what is out or on the horizon. and spend the cash on more storage, which can be reused in any future device I end up with. I want my primary device to remain a nokia tablet type unit, with xterm etc, so android is pretty much out of the frame, and dont even suggest iphone... any thoughts? |

2. Don't hope for this. 3. Prob. a bad idea 4. 16gb shouldn't cost more than £25 for a class 2 + battery so could be a plan. 32GB is at silly early adopter prices and I would wait for 8 months. |
