How to send raw data via ir port
 

Hi all,
I just want to control a Lego Mindstorm robot using my N900 and the IR port.
The robot is able to read raw data using its ir receiver.

I read something about lirc but I think it doesn't fit for my needs.
Anyone knows how is possible to send raw bytes via ir port ?
