Running an application to save energy is kind of ... weird.

But, depending on your needs, there are several ways to make the battery last longer.

Did you try to use Power search in top right?

I have power searched
there is none

What I want:
turn wifi off
lower proccessor speed
lower light
all at one click

auto disconnect is a night and day differemce for me
2g 3g switcher is handy if your 3g coverage isnt so good, use in conjunction with auto disconnect
simple brightness app is good, turn the screen brightness down from the status area makes a bit of a difference i guess
titans kernel for power users is good, I under volt mine using lv and clock it from 250 to 950 and get great battery life, read up on overclocking first if you decide to do it
use xterm and run the command 'top' to see what your processor is doing, you may have an app thats eating your battery
turn wifi search to never, that makes a difference
dont use animated backgrounds, service provider changer or any gimmiky thing that runs in the background, no offence to any developers of such apps
get a spare battery and keep it in your wallet, car, somewhere you'll need it not an app but still helpful

Getting all that done in one click might require some scripting as far as I know.

AutoDisconnect takes care of idle connections. There is some related application that unloads the wifi kernel module to save energy.

Light is handled through Settings, but there might be some application that does this for you in the shape of a widget.

Lower processor speed requires a kernel that has this compiled into it. I think the community kernel that titan works on has this. Be careful though, installing your own kernel might very well end up with you having to flash your device if anything goes wrong. Read up on how this is done and you'll be able to experiment as much as you want.

queen beecon may be able to do this in a single click, though youd have to install all the individual programs then write a script for queen beecon to initiate everything in one go, though I dont see a point in this as once everything is installed it's always on and will all auto run at startup, so thats everthing in 0 clicks

No!No!No!Yes! 2010-06-20 22:13
