Quake 2 for the Nokia N900 Opens then closes Help!!
 

I am running the newest firmware

Quake 2 installed pretty easily
but when I click it it
screen goes black for a second then app closes it self

Have you got the files from the CD installed. If not it does not work

pak0.pak files from the original CD:).

The N900 firmware I updated over air(wifi)
I installed Quake 2 over wifi aswell (through application manager)

What Cd are you talking about

copy pak0.pak from the original game to
/home/user/.quake2/baseq2 folder.

You need to have Quake II installed on a computer, the pak0.pak is in the folder along with the game.

You need the original game cd, or download a sharepare pak.

yea ive been trying to get a hold of this pak file for awhile now.
can someone send me a msg with a good source of that file? i dont have the game unfortunately.

I downloaded a quake2.rar with pak0 pak1 pak2.
When i start game from x-term it says pics/colormap.pcx error..?

The Quake2 demo does not contain 3 .pak files, nor are the versions of Quake2 sold on various websites compressed using RAR.
In other words, buy Quake2.
