running 2006 OS software in 2007 OS
 

A lot of the software on maemo is not compatible with 2007 OS yet - does anyone know a way to run 2006 software in the 2007 OS?

Generally a rebuild and repackage is needed to get the OS 2006 app working on OS 2007, however a lot of OS 2006 apps work fine on OS 2007 without any modification - just because an app says it's for OS 2006 doesn't mean it won't work on OS 2007. :)

Great, I'm glad to hear there's not too much involved. I'm new to the N800, got it 2 days ago. I'll give the rebuild and repackage a shot this weekend.

It doesn't seem to be very up to date though...
