[Announce] Pomodoro, time & task management application

Hi

Pomodoro has been promoted to testing, feel free to check it out and give thumbs up if you like it.

Pomodoro is a task management application based on The Pomodoro Technique ideology by Francesco Cirillo. The idea of the application is to help users organize their daily tasks and easily keep track work progress.

See Pomodoro Homepage for details and screenshots.

For those of us that have to account for our time down to the 15 minute increment, this is very handy. Great addition to the N900. Will be checking this out.

Re: [Announce] Pomodoro, time & task management application

For tasks that are hidden the next day: do we ever get to see them again to keep track of what we've done?

Some ideas for future features:

A configurable break timer. The default could be five minutes - to make sure you're getting your break in between Pomodoros.

If the media player is playing music the application doesn't play it's notice that the Pomodoro is complete. It might be a good idea to either overlay the sound on top of the music, or temporarily pause the music so that you know when you're done.
Another option would be to add a vibrating alert. And possibly a configuration dialog to select between the sort of alert that you're given.

If a task has a long title it's not really easy to see the full description either in the list or when you've clicked "start" on the Pomodoro itself. A way of view the full description might be useful, e.g. double click on it for a dialog?

Currently no, but all data is kept stored, so in the coming versions some archive list or graphical views could be implemented. No detailed plans regarding this yet though.

Very cool app! Other useful features would be:

- being able to rename a task after entered (e.g. if it contains a typo)
- being able to type a description of the reason for an interruption (e.g. "boss" or "dad" or "girlfriend")

- a desktop widget would be really cool too!

If you would like to see this application in the extras repository instead of extras-testing, please give it thumbs up. Thanks!

Cool App.
I just started using it today, so I don't know if the system is right for me. The application however is good and simple.
An additional feature I think would be useful is a way to change the order of tasks so it is easy to prioritize, and finished tasks should then automatically be moved to the bottom.

Thanks for working on this great app.

Thanks for making this available. One additional suggestion:
I was using this app in the office, until the alarm went off after the first pomodoro... Definitely not something you want to use in public! It would be great if you could be able to choose the alarm sound by selecting profiles, e.g. a short beep or vibration for in the office and a real alarm for home use. If this would be implemented, I would for sure use this app every day as I'm a big fan of the pomodoro technique.
