Help!!I can't turn on my N900...
 

hi when i push the turn on button,the phone turns on and i can see the "Nokia" logo and when pin code screen comes up the phone keeps restarting itself until i take out the battery.
This happened after i updated USSD Widget.
What can i do?I'm a linux noob so please tell me step my step.

1. Charge the device if you aren't sure whether you have battery more than 50%;
2. Download and install flasher for your OS from
tablets-dev.nokia.com/maemo-dev-env-downloads.php
3. Download the latest Maemo 5 from
tablets-dev.nokia.com/nokia_N900.php
4. Follow the instructions from
http://wiki.maemo.org/Updating_the_tablet_firmware

Most, if not all, programs you installed previously will be gone. But your photos and videos and documents will still stay here.

P.S. I had another problem: after the Nokia logo the dots ran indefinitely, and I wasn't even asked for pin code. Now it's solved.

when i try to flash emmc and enter the code and press enter,only thing i see is "flasher v2.5.2 (Sept 24 2009)
RX-51_2009SE_1.2009.42-11_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin: %m"
What is wrong?

Are you sure that you have given correct name of the file xyz.bin to flasher?

1. You need to be in folder c:\Program Files\maemo\flasher-3.5. If you use the shortcut created by the program during the installation, it's already done.

2. The file xyz.bin or however it is called must be put in folder c:\Program Files\maemo\flasher-3.5

3. When you enter the command
flasher-3.5.exe -F xyz.bin -f -R
(or whatever flasher command you are attempting)
make sure that you put exact name of the file xyz.bin which is saved in folder
c:\Program Files\maemo\flasher-3.5

If not sure, post a screenshot of the command line here.

now it started.Wrong file caused the problem.
