is there an auto bootdown app?
hello folks.after installing auto wifi disconnect i get an idea.
is there an app that auto shuts off my n900? for example it shuts the device off at 01:00 am and starts it at 08:00 am? and should it be better for the battery?(reboot drains much the battery) and could such a app remind my pin and password to start my phone without my help? i would be very interested in a such app hope you guys have any ideas. |

To shut down on a schedule you could use fcron:

Re: is there an auto bootdown app?
the alarm only wakes it up to make the sound, as soon as u press snooze or stop the phone goes back to sleep. you still need to power it up manually.
I think rebooting the device at 8am will probably drain enough power to cancel out any benefit of having it shut for the 7 hours you are asleep. Good idea though. |
Re: is there an auto bootdown app?
you can do it in xterminal if you know how to use it.
and why you put password if you want to be reminded automatically? |
