That was a bit random.....

Re: can i dual boot pr1.1 and pr1.2?
@sepehrsfmech: No it is not possible to dual boot PR1.1 and PR1.2. They would rely on the same rootfs etc and it would get messy, plus the cellular module would not work with PR1.1 as it has been software upgraded with PR1.2.

Re: can i dual boot pr1.1 and pr1.2?
perhaps im not technical but ppl tend to advance
not come back to pr1.1 and yea, u can.. if im correct, the procedure should be the same as installing meego in a memcard.. or perhaps few different steps jus coz telepathy wont work doesnt mean the other *older* os wont run either |
Dual boot
Is there any boot manager to allow booting different operating systems? Maemo installed in the traditional partition, and other systems in other areas of the flash memory.

Re: can i dual boot pr1.1 and pr1.2?
I'd say it's theoretically possible.
I have two (separate, mind you) installations of OS2008/Diablo running on my N800 on the internal flash and a SD card. It's a common hack, at least for the N8x0s. I've read somewhere that someone has managed to get Fremantle to boot from the SD card. (will update when I find it.) |
