It's their own fault... "just don't hold it like that!" :D

Re: iphone 4 is burning!!!
I didn't buy fireworks this year, we all just gathered around an iPhone 4 and plugged it in. Ahh the sweet smell of burning PCB, exploding plastic, and red-hot shrapnel.

Re: iphone 4 is burning!!!
I get that most people don't care for the iPhone, but is making fun of it at every incident necessary?

The consumer is the one that loses. Either a port isn't properly secured to the motherboard or one catches fire/shorts. |
Re: iphone 4 is burning!!!
Yup, it's bound to happen with the number of electronics out there. Now if every iPhone 4 caught on fire then you gotta ask WTF is going on.

Re: iphone 4 is burning!!!
I guess that's the peril of stating your sales numbers. People might want to know your return numbers or numbers for incidents like this.
With that said... USB ports seem to be a prob for both Nokia and Apple. |
Re: iphone 4 is burning!!!
Really? I thought the iPhone dock was pretty reliable (outside of false water indicator issues). Unless you mean the USB end of that cable.

Re: iphone 4 is burning!!!
Naw. I mean that's how big this one incident will invariably get blown up. People are honestly waiting for failures like this, it seems. Out of the two N900's near me, one has had it's port popped out.
The second N900, I was the primary user, no probs. I've had the last three generation(s) of iPhones... no probs. But ports seem to be a place where manual user error does factor in considerably. |
Re: iphone 4 is burning!!!
That's not a bug, it's a feature...
