Application Manager error

Application manager won't update or show any applications from any repository. Here is what the log says :

Quote:

ildon-application-manager 2.2.65
connected to Vodafone Internet GPRS
E: Could not open lock file /var/lib/apt/lists.new/lock - open (2 No such file or directory)
E: Unable to lock the list directory
I have not deleted any files and it was working perfectly. I've had a search and can't find the answer.

Re: Application Manager error

Check the rootfs space (in X Terminal, run "df -h /"), and check whether the /var/lib/apt directory exists (in X Terminal, run "ls -l /var/lib/apt").

Re: Application Manager error

Thanks, I have used 74% of my rootfs, and I get "not found" when I run your script. I guess rootfs is OK and its this missing directory is causing the problem. I believe the only solution at this time that is definitely going to work, is a reflash then ?

If you have rootsh installed then you can just recreate the directory. In X Terminal, run:
Code:

root
mkdir -p /var/lib/apt

Otherwise you'll need to reflash, yes.
