I have forgotten password to my Skype account and started looking for ways to recover it from the backup. While looking at Skype support for n900:

It's still video. If the point is to see the other person's face, it still works.

Yeah. I hope they implement FaceTime-like ability to switch between front and back camera.

Im not sure about panasonic but there are skype tvs around.
