Some people have reported this problem to be related to changing/auto-updating of timezones or installing an application that upgraded libc6.

Are you on the latest firmware (1.2)?
Try reflashing your rootfs:

I had the same issue after upgrading libc6 to libc6_2.7-18lenny4_armel.deb. I fixed the issue by downloading libc6_2.5.1-1eglibc25+0m5_armel.deb from the Maemo repository. Try this in terminal

sudo gainroot
wget http://repository.maemo.org/pool/mae...0+0m5_i386.deb
dpkg -i libc6_2.5.1-1eglibc20+0m5_i386.deb

you will get a warning that the package is downgrading. I didnt even need to reboot - it instantly fixed the problem!!!

Hi,

I am seeing the same issue, for me it started after I used syncEvolution for syncing with google calender. I have checked the version for libc, I have "libs-2.5-so" in /lib directory. I have also uninstalled SyncEvolution but of NO help.
Please help, I don't want to reflash.
Thanks!
