I'm guessing the cycle is accelerated if the guy is a Nokia fan? :D

(faster product cycle, more models to follow...)

well, actually it could be either faster or slower. because there is no single product that defines if you are hip (well, vertus are probably pretty good indications that you really have money..). so no-one hypes a single device thus making your life easier because you can select the one that suits you the best and stick with it as long as you want.

It wont be long and year has passed since N900 came, haven't found better device yet so where is the faster -part?

You're making a false assumption that fanboys* are sensible.
That's the main premise of this topic.

That spin is worthy of Jobs' seal of approval...

A platform's demise\EOL resulting in no upgrade path that's turned to "it's still the best there is."

* Thanks Laughing Man! My bad :D

Is it an Apple product? Do you stick it where I think you stick it?

Does it look like it can check your prostate while blowing hot air up yours? :D

I think fans are sensible and reasonable. Fanboys on the other hand are not.

As for the "best there is" it depends on what you use the N900 for. If your the "extreme power user" then there really isn't out there that's pocketable and still does what the N900 does. Though there are other devices out there that have similar efforts in getting Ubuntu and what not running (mainly on the Android variety).
