Easy Debian vs Ubuntu?

Guys,

Looking to install a full linux distro. Like the ease with which easy debian can be installed and run from within the os but I've always been an ubuntu man and Im guessing as you are booting it standalone it will be somewhat faster than easy debian. Can someone let me know the pros and cons of the two options?

Also how should I format the memory card (4gb) if I went down the ubuntu root so that I could have Android and Ubuntu available as a boot option...if this is even possible yet?

It's a little faster, but not by much.(I tries debian, not ubuntu) Keep in mind that you can't make/receive phone calls from debian/ubuntu. And yes it's possible to triple-boot maemo, ubuntu and android.

Touch Pro2 uses ofono to make calls within Ubuntu. And ofono works on the n900. So it is possible I think.

There is no GSM module support yet.

Calling in debian/ubuntu should be possible once MeeGo is released, as long as that has phone support (which iirc, it does)
