Problem with Bora repository
I have an N800 that has the latest firmware updated, and when I add the Bora repository:
Web address: [WWW] http://repository.maemo.org/ Distribution: bora Components: free non-free and then reload the catalog in the application manager, it says it cannot refresh the list, using the last list. However it looks like it read the repository as I was trying to add osso-xterm and it was there after adding this repository. If I disable that repository the message doesn't come up. Maybe it is one of the components (maybe non-free)? Thoughts? |
Re: Problem with Bora repository
Check the log (in the application manager).
I just refreshed my list and had no problems (and I have the one you specified included) |
Re: Problem with Bora repository
I followed my own suggestion about dropping "non-free" from the components and it refreshed without the message coming up. So, for my environment, there must be something it doesn't like about that one.

Re: Problem with Bora repository
Question from a newbie - I too have problems installing several apps with the same error message. I am not a developer. How to I correct my end-user problem? I do not understand repositories as they may apply to the end-user of the N800.
Thanks |
Re: Problem with Bora repository
I was just having the same problem (not able to refresh the list....) earlier today, but just now it refreshed normally. Wonder if there was some problem in the repository site today??

Re: Problem with Bora repository
I have had the same problem with my 770. It says that it cant find osso-thumbnail0=0.5-1fix. Is it just with the apps that have the prefix osso-. I have a link to the repository i need https://stage.maemo.org/svn/maemo/pr...nail/0.5-1fix/ but how would i install it from that?
