Is there a plan for forum's structure post-MeeGo?
I bring this up because the forum structure has been a real pain for N800/N810/Diablo users after Fremantle/N900 were released. It was impossible to scroll through New Posts and not drown in stuff that was irrelevant for those of us who did not upgrade to the N900.
The issue at that time was discussed in this thread about a Brainstorm for fixing the problem. Here was the Brainstorm itself. Despite a whopping 47 votes for my Solution #1 to the problem, it was never implemented. In addition to having to scan irrelevant categories, "Applications" under the current structure is an ambiguous category -- it contains apps that run on Diablo and not Fremantle, and vice-versa. N900 users are going to have the same problem when MeeGo and MeeGo-suitable hardware are released, unless MeeGo is fully implemented for the N900 or the forum is re-structured. Planning for how to handle the change should be underway ahead of time. |

I assumed that eventually, when MeeGo becomes the it thing, this forum was going to be thrown into a burlap sack and dropped in the river.

Bring back internet tablet talk! :p
Yeah I think even though there is a Meego forum this forum will still be fsck'd. Not sure why we didn't splinter off before... Maybe we'd have better luck @ http://n8xx.com/ ;) |

Automatic publishing is better for such things (such as how the issues get here [nearly automatic] and on Planet [completely automatic]) |
