How to download to SD card
 

Hi

Newbie alert - what is the apth to downlaoding something onto my SD card - transmission 2.03 is currently set to /home/user/MyDocs/Downloads

What would I type to put this on the root(?) of the SD card?

You need to know the mountpoint of the SD card.
By default it should be /media/mmc1

Open up transmission and go to preferences and set it to /media/mmc1
