Files that requires files, which also requires files
 

To date, I have tried installing several apps, which almost all have failed due to missing files: libttf, libglade, and more. I've gone and got them, however, some of them either fail to load, OR REQUIRE AN ADDITIONAL FILE!

What am I not getting here?

I've tried GoogleTalk: it needs a Flash file which won't load.
Maemo Mapper: various lib* files that I'm not sure what to do with.
python2.5-runtime.install, also needed a few lib files.
Audacity, some linux apps, debian gnu...ah gee. Is there a simple solution here?

I'm beginning to feel like the cerebral stroke I had awhile back has locked the doors to MY logic operating folder.
Help, assist, kokua, et.al.
