Keyboard mappings screwed
Hi all,
I installed duke nukem on my n900 and after i quit i found my keyboard mappings were all screwy. I have no '.' key anymore, that's mapped to the backwards arrow key, the backwards arrow key does nothing and the ':' key is now a ')'...im sure there are more too. I tried just a reboot, then tried changing the keyboard through Settings->Text Input to another one and then back again. Neither fixed it. Any ideas? thx ;) |

1) Go to xterminal, type root to gain root access (assume you've rootsh installed)
2) cd /usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols/nokia_vndr 3) make a copy of the file rx-51 as backup 4) Download and untar the attached file into that directory 5) Run the following: Code:
hildon-im-xkbtool -m nokiarx51 -l us |
Re: Keyboard mappings screwed
Hello, thanks for the prompt reply. Unfortunately that didn't work, it seems it's just the English keyboard mappings that are screwed up, using for example the deutsch layout means the '.' key works correctly while some of the other mappings are in the wrong spots.

Re: Keyboard mappings screwed
You sure you overwrite the correct file rx-51?
Set the layout to deutsch with the same command then. |
Re: Keyboard mappings screwed
