N900 w. PAYG SIM won't connect but roaming SIM will. Help!
 

Hi all,

Cutting a tedious story short as I have 5 minutes to write this before I'm kicked out of this internet cafe...

Have a Vodafone UK contract SIM and am in Greece with my N900. Bought a Vodafone GR PAYG SIM for browsing whilst here. The UK SIM works roaming for internet just as it does back home (though more expensive obviously) but the Voda GR SIM simply won't connect to the internet. I'm all out of ideas as to what I can check to make the thing work, and I've already racked up 25GBP for 15meg of traffic whilst being here. Does anyone have any pointers/ideas beyond the following:

Are the PAYG accesspoint settings for Voda GR: internet.vodafone.gr with blank user & pass? I've tried both the settings originally on the SIM as well as those pulled down from tweakker.com (the Voda GR website won't let me pull them down:- the N900 isn't listed)

Can icd2 be forced to do more logging than just -l 0 which merely doesn't print anything when failing; anywhere else to look for losgs? to try and launch manyally from the command line?

It fails pretty quickly after trying to connect and just prints Internet connection failed. Try again...

Any thoughts/help appreciated

I put an O2 pay&go sim in my n900, wouldn't connect to the automatically detected O2 mobile web. I phoned up the customer services (which was free, amazingly) and they gave me a completely different set of details for connecting on pay&go.
