Native portrait mode after programingon N900?
Hi all,
I am no deep IT guy especially on linux. But is there a way to change the code/kernel or what ever it is to have a native portrait mode on N900. How much of programing would it tearetically require? I know that N97 is symbian, but if try to do se same I mean about the screen rotation. Tell the os where to place the icons after rotation, how to behave. Or even an app that would do that. I do not mind having a running task as long I can have what I want. So my question is. IS THAT POSSIBLE IN ANY WAY? |
Re: Native portrait mode after programingon N900?
Flawless comprehensive portrait is not possible. Only application based portrait.
PR1.2 introduced ctrl-shift-r shortcut. which rotates most things into portrait, but not 100%. Yes. it seems that it would require a great deal of re-writing of major components of Maemo 5, so it was decided to be escalated to later releases of the OS such as Meego. |
