Maemo5 - Why My N900 Pidgin Internet Messenger No Alert Sound..??
 

Hi Everybody...

Really appreciate if you guys cant help me out with my N900 Pidgin Internet Messenger has no sound... There's no sound for incoming chat or whatsoever... Just Silent.. Only the Pidgin status icon appeared to notify me if there's any incoming chat.. Please guys, i really loved using pidgin internet messenger than the build in one on N900 maemo5... Please help me out with a solution... :confused::(

same problem here.
after reflashing the device, there is no sound @ pidgin.
dont know why.

installed the old shool sounds, but nothing happens.


strange thing.
before flashing all works fine.

did we need a codec or anything else?

there is no sound also on my pidgin...
don't really remember since when... but it might be after i flash n900 for the PR 1.2 update

hm i installed some codecs, changed some plugins but no solution till now.

purged Pidgin and installed new
but no sound.


GUYS WE NEED A SOLUTION :D


my speculation goes to, that there are no sounds installed or its unpacked in a wrong folder.

dont know .....

ITS STRANGE :D

tonight i search for a solution for the problem.
perhaps i can find some : )

EPIC FAIL ON ME :D

My Sounds work again

here is it.

1. Open Pidgin
2. STRG + P
3. Touch on the register
4. with the right cursor key go to the sound menu and edit it to your own.


yeah how i tell ya

dont know why they dont a cursor button or something in the menu ^^
