How to overclock NITDriod
 

can someone gimme a tutorial on how to overclock?
im kinda a noob at this Cheesy
i read the overclocking forum.. know what each of the things mean
but in maemo, there was a file that needed to be edited
how do i access that file?
and where is it located?
and commands needed?

Nitdroid 0.0.7 is overclocked to 700Mhz by default.
Need to modify the power.conf if you want higher.

Just mount the android partition in maemo and edit via leafpad...

is it necessary for the N900 to be overclocked to run the Nitdroid? is it okay if we maintain the default N900 speed and the Nitdroid?

No it isn´t, but it is smoother and OC N900 to 800MHz is "safe" and for your piece you can change the value to 600MHz.

prefer not to overclock it though. so after installing it, i can restore the speed set by it to 600mhz (which is the default speed right?)? if i install it using this method, will it still overclock my device?
