Interested in creating a daemon to edit the sms and sip clients.
 

Hi.

Firstly, I have never programed for a phone before, though I think I know enough to manage to do what I want once I am put on the right path. Thats why i'm now posting. Can someone pleas tell me where i should start.

Here is what i want to do:

Change the SMS client send function. i.e, instead of sending the message through the cellar network, send it through a http connection to a php script.

Make the sip client strip the "+61" or any other country code from the front of my contacts numbers and replace it with o when i make an sip call.
