iPhone 4 Epic Unreal Engine
This is simply amazing! Take a look:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L3NwYj-zgJk I can't help but get excited when I see things like this running on a mobile device. First the Rage demo and now a wonderful showcase of the Unreal engine, with fantastic graphics on the iPhone 4. While not at the level of current consoles, these visuals are easily at the level of last-gen consoles! Considering the Unreal Tegra demos, I suspect that this engine (in some incarnation) will likely make its way to android as well in the future -- though this is purely speculation. What do you think? |
Re: iPhone 4 Epic Unreal Engine
same vga as n900
atleast the same series and the same process *frequency unknown* the only difference is the ram and if im correct, this had a good chance of being introduced to n900 as well |

Re: iPhone 4 Epic Unreal Engine
The graphics are nice, but controlling via touch screen = fail.

Re: iPhone 4 Epic Unreal Engine
I bet if it were on Symbian/Maemo/Meego, you guys would be boing bananas.
I'm not an iOS owner, but I can appreciate how far performance has come on handheld devices. |
Re: iPhone 4 Epic Unreal Engine
I just tried the citadel demo today on my iphone4. The detail and sharpness is quite insane.
Ps: this is coming from a gamer with ati5870 gpu. Multitouch 'analog' dpads still work better than hardware keys on fps for me. I'd rather move my fingers slowly to get the right speed than (ratata)taps to simulate slow movement/turns. |
Re: iPhone 4 Epic Unreal Engine
This works on 3GS to0 and the gpu is a SGX 535 underclocked to 7m/poly
So Hardware wise it should run on the n900 :) |
Re: iPhone 4 Epic Unreal Engine
Indeed, practically all modern hardware is capable of running this demo. Some faster, some slower.

Re: iPhone 4 Epic Unreal Engine
I just tried loading the demo on my girlfriends iPod touch. Unfortunately, itunes was giving me an ultimatum: delete everything on the device or forgo the installation.
... now they have my credit card info! I hope I can delete my account! Is it possible to load apps on the device itself? Without the need for iTunes? |
