need help with an n900 problem
 

my touch screen is currently broken and i need to back up all of my data on my phone, but i cant select mass storage/ pcsuite mode as my screen is broken, also cant access via ssh as wifi doesnt auto connect. any ideas on how i can back up my phone without having to change the touchscreen?

Try using the ovi/pc suite and select backup option from that, that doesnt need any interaction from the phone.

Connect your tvout cable to your n900 and tv and then try doing that :)

ctrl + shift + x

...if you know how to do stuff from command line...

ok so got terminal, any tips on how to set to mass storage mode? or even connect to my wireless network so i can get in via ssh? thanks so much for your help

all cool, found out how to connect to wifi via maemo wiki :)
thanks heaps for the shortcut tip for terminal... saved my life...
now whether to fix n900 or to wait for n9? hmm

Sorry abt that....I'v got a problem too. Recently my fon wld just reset after which Media Player's unable to detect any videos or music, and in Photos I get (no images)...this is reallly annoying. Please any idea how to correct this?
