programmatically entering the home screen
Hi,
I've spent a while trying to figure this out but I've reached the end of the internet and haven't figured it out yet. Is there a way to programmatically go to the home screen (I believe that's the correct name). The best info I've found so far is that HDRM_STATE_HOME is the state I'm looking to enter in hildon-desktop but I can't find a dbus message to do it. Ultimately, I'm hoping to make a double power enter home instead of lock the device (and Tweakr can't do this) since having two hardware lock buttons and zero hardware home buttons is a bit... off. Thanks |
Re: programmatically entering the home screen
A brief update:
wmctrl -k on will do it. Still haven't bound it to the power button. I want a single click to open the menu and a double to go to the home screen. Shouldn't be hard. If anyone is interested, I'll post whatever I have when it's working |
Re: programmatically entering the home screen
shortcutd can be used to do this, FYI. You can use a half-press on the camera shutter button to swap to the desktop or the dashboard.
