Skype calls have audio cutting out
 

Hi Maemoers,

I've been having plenty of trouble with Skype calls on my N900. Calls can be either on Wifi or 3G with full signal strength, but at times, the other party's voice will begin to stutter.

It starts by cutting out little bits out of the audio, and then gradually losing more and more until there is more silence than voice.. and then it goes silent. Sometimes it will recover at this point, but not always.

I've had this problem across all versions of the OS and calling to various client versions (inc. Linux client). Using the same internet connection works fine on my Linux netbook for example.

I've seen many other people claim their connections are faultless, so I'm a bit surprised at the trouble I have.

Any suggestions?

I kind of have different problems with skype. i don't have cutting outs much. my is skype video with other desktop computers is fine. but problem is when i do skype video with laptops there is no audio. i don't get it. same thing when i test it with googletalk. same thing calling out or receiving video calls. desktops = have audio, laptops = no audio. does anyone experience this?
