FM Transmittor
Hey all
Could anyone advise as to what the best frequency is for the FM transmittor and if there's a way to boost the signal. Getting quite a lot of interference when using the transmittor on my car radio. thanks |
Re: FM Transmittor
install the rdsnotidy widget, it includes the power boost for the fm transmitter, as well as displaying useful stuff on the radio such as texts as they arrive etc.
as for a frequency, just find a clear one on your radio and tune the N900 to that. oh, and i find that the i getg no interference whilst charfging with a branded nokia charger, until I start 3g data, then i get some noise unless i unplug the charger. |
Re: FM Transmittor
Your best guess would be to find a frequency on your radio with a lot of static noise( no radio station) Then tune the FM Transmitter on that frequency.
Every area has different occupied frequencies. I personnaly use 107.8FM because there are not much stations in that region. Also, do you use FM boost or something like that?(modified fmtx file) It will boost you signal strength a lot! |

Re: FM Transmittor
2 things:
-plug a usb cable into the phone but leave the other end unplugged, this will act as an antenna and greatly boost output rf power. -theres a hacked version of fmtxd which allows the fm transmittor to operate whilst charge cable is plugged in and charging. do a search for my thread on charging from dumb power sources and look for the updates on the openning post |
