[Big Problem] N900 keeps crashing every 30/50 minutes!
 

Hey guys,

i'fe a really big problem, my N900 keeps crashing between half a houre, or One houre! (30mins/60mins)
It just suddenly reboots, (then i need to re-enter my Code's)

It al started after i did a update, then it suddenly go's to Nokia (with the white background blue text, when you start your nokia), an its said on the left bottom updating please wait)

Please Help! Thanx alot everybody
i'm a pretty nood an got Root (an 850mhz:P)

from what i understand you overclocked your mobile at 850Mhz?
try doing this:
it will change the frequency to a lower state
might help :D

well if he overclocked it then why not try to lower it one bit only ?
why return to stock?

@ThomasAH: If his device is rebooting because of the kernel change, "load default" is what's happening already on boot, and will fix nothing. If it's not because of the kernel change, load default will still do nothing, since again, that's what the system does at boot, unless the system is rebooting more than once within a smaller (5 minute?) window. Specifying the standard kernel with lower CPU ranges on command line (as shown above) will fix it, if it's the kernel (which I doubt).

It's more likely that something you have setup to run every hour or so is causing this. A widget or some other thing you recently installed/updated that's trying to do something every hour, and on failing it's locking the desktop, and eventually causing the watchdog to reboot the system.

My first bet would be to turn off all your widgets and see if you stay up for more than an hour. If so, add them a few at a time to see which one is causing the problem.

kernel-config limits 500 950
kernel-config limits 500 1000

So everytime its reboot it go´s to stock, i wil reboot it en keep it at stock for the day (so max 600mhz) en remove some widget from the desktop aldo i doud't it if it something like that
havent changed something en weeks/months, en also the kernel is installed voor a lot of months! (and also 850mhz) never problems!

this happened to me once to, with the NOKIA logo with white background on startup, and a small black box that says UPDATING below it. but it happened only once. no reboots after that.

have you installed NitDroid? or FCAM?
what app exactly did you update when this all started?
what is the power kernel you are using? and what version?
could you post desktop screenshots maybe? or a TOP result in x-term?

I do have FCamera,

(it was a list of more so i just started it)
Frogatto & Friends, Mupen64Plus, Slysics
thos where in it, but he couldent update them al, al had problems (an still are standing in the update catogary) and i'm sure that there was another programs but i can think of it anny more!
How to i get a top result?

I stopped overclocking after I couldn't even load a different kernel without the phone crashing within the hour.
